Hungarian Work

Hungarian Work
HUNGARIAN WORK
A variety of applique work with linen and cotton twill cloths, used for chair backs and table covers. The designs were traced upon ecru holland and then the holland was backed with red or blue cotton twill of the same length and width. The design was buttonholed all round the outlines and the two materials fastened together. All the holland outside the buttonhole lines was cut away.
